This month Stockroom Vintage is teaming up with Tammy at Antebellum Photography to offer 10 styled holiday mini-shoots at the Country Cove Christmas Tree Farm in Murfreesboro, Tenn. I’ll be styling each 20-minute shoot myself with some of my favorite vintage pieces from the Stockroom Vintage inventory. If you’re interested in scheduling a photoshoot for your family or with your significant other, you can still snag a spot for $150, which includes five edited photos to use as you please. These photos are perfect for Christmas cards, and the shoots are an awesome chance to get access to Stockroom’s props at a price that’s much lower than the cost of our typical styled shoots!
To show clients what they can expect at our winter wonderland sessions, Tammy and I styled a holiday inspiration shoot designed to get us all in the holiday spirit. I’m so excited to share our cozy, rustic winter shoot with you all today!
The concept for the shoot was simple: I wanted to create a look that made you want to put on your favorite cable-knit sweater and curl up in one of those vintage flannel blankets with a cup of hot chocolate. I aimed to include touches that were rustic, natural and warm for that time of year when fall turns into winter and you just can’t stop yourself from humming Christmas music. It’s a look that will translate easily to winter weddings, showers and engagement parties. The textural mixture of flannel, leather and wooden stumps creates a cozy, laid back vibe that invites guests to snuggle in for awhile.
To nail the natural, relaxed vibe, skip formal floral arrangements and opt for seasonal branches and pine cones instead. Instead of purchasing flowers, I clipped some branches of holly and pine from my yard and collected some twigs with bright red berries. Then I tied smaller, leftover trimmings to pillar candles with twine.
Piles of s’mores ingredients wrapped in twine and marshmallows stored away neatly in an oversized mason jar completed the dressed-up campfire feel. How can your friends and family resist tucking into these lounge areas for a night of hot chocolate and s’mores?
Thanks to Tammy at Antebellum Photography for lending her talent and expert eye to this winter décor inspiration shoot—aren’t these light-filled photos just so dreamy?! If you’d like to schedule a session at our November 11 mini-shoots at the Christmas tree farm, you can contact me and I’ll direct you to our online sign-up form. Stay snuggly!
