Last week, I happened to be in Los Angeles visiting my sister and I had the opportunity to pop in for the Wedding Paper Divas Galentine’s Party, hosted by celebrity wedding planner Mindy Weiss and Kaitlyn Bristowe of The Bachelor / Bachelorette fame! Um, so fun!
This fabulous Galentine’s Day party was at the chic and fancy Hotel Bel-Air in LA. It was a super fun party all about celebrating friendship! Now, I know Galentine’s Day was technically yesterday, but there were just too many cute ideas to pass up – you could incorporate some of these into your bachelorette or bridesmaids luncheon festivities! So fun!

The party featured a DIY Valentine’s station (crafting? yes please!), a photo booth, a caricature artist, a lips and lashes station, and more! Plus, celeb chef Wolfgang Puck even stopped by to cook a special meal– including comfort foods like miniature grilled cheese and tomato soup, delicious pizza and french fries. It was fab, to be sure!! Such a treat.
From the take-away bouquets to pink and red balloon backdrop, to the girl power theme, this party was filled with such cute details you could totally steal for your bachelorette party, bridesmaids bash, or your own Galentine’s Day celebration!
I sat down with Kaitlyn for a quick chat at the party and she talked about the importance of girl time and celebrating with the women who have been there for you through thick and thin. In her single days, she spent lots of time with her friends having fun girls’ nights, and it’s so important to continue these traditions even after you’re married! She says that the gals who will make up her bridal party will likely be her sister and her three BFFs.
Though she says she and fiancé Shawn Booth are taking things slow and enjoying a long engagement while they get to know each other better, Kaitlyn says she wants to get married in the fall. She’s dreaming of a lace wedding dress with an open back for her big day, and mentioned that she may be interested in getting married somewhere tropical! When I asked her about whether she had her heart set on a big party or a more intimate affair, she confessed that she wants both! Sounds like a destination wedding might be perfect for her – an intimate ceremony followed by a big party with all their family and friends back home. Y’all know we love a good destination wedding here at BSB!
And because you know I can’t resist a good photobooth, here I am being a dork, complete with fab Lashes that were applied by Makeup by Liz!
Hope you enjoyed hearing about this fun event and that it gives you some girl time inspiration for your wedding events!
