NYC Soho Chic Styled Shoot
JB-Headshot-2024

We have a sleek and cool styled shoot for you today. The inspiration for the shoot was NYC Soho Chic. The event coordinator and photographer wanted to display a bride who was delicate and edgy at the same time. We especially love the vintage suitcases used as decor. Enjoy this NYC Soho Chic Styled Shoot!

NYC Soho Chic Styled Shoot

What was your inspiration for this shoot?

The inspiration for the Soho chic inspiration is lux looks while staying within the budget. We choose a nontraditional wedding space (co-working space/Soho, NYC). The edgy character of the space inspired the inclusion of the photo booth, stacked luggage, etc.

Describe your flowers.

The florals used are eucalyptus, the tall stems dominated the arrangments and green floral fillers made a great alternative to lots of additional flowers.

Tell us about your attire choices.

The attire was selected and styled to provide a traditional gown for a nontraditional space, without sacrificing elegance. The makeup artist was able to further enhance the beauty of the gown by giving her natural makeup and a simple, pulled back low ponytail.

Describe the tablescape elements.

Using the natural elements of the space a blush chiffon table runner was paired with rose gold-rimmed charger plates, votives, napkin rings, and flatware to decorate the distressed wood table.  The centerpieces were designed to be eye-catching, affordable and the option to repurpose. Post-event eucalyptus can remain vibrant for weeks in any environment.

Do you have any advice for couples planning their weddings now?

A great way to be budget savvy is to use decor that can be repurposed. Affordable and reusable is key.
