Did you do any DIY Projects or create any handmade items for your wedding?

We made our own special touches by making a custom bouquet with wildflowers that can be found in the Tetons, but got them from Hobby Lobby so we could keep it forever.

What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?

We had vow books that we wrote our vows in that our photographers actually sent and gave us. We also took pictures of our dogs and kept them in one of our hats during the ceremony.

We bought some book bags since we were hiking and ordered custom “Just Married” signs with the date to include on our packs to capture in pictures.

What is the most memorable moment of your day?

Being able to capture all the moments from that day. We started off the day with a hike and wore headlamps to just enjoy the peace and quite to the ceremony spot.

Another was doing a sunrise ceremony with the Tetons in the background.

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

Eloping and making our own snacks to have during the day was the biggest thing we did to save money. We also stayed and honeymooned after to celebrate in the park.

What was your biggest splurge?

Definitely all the stickers, shirts, and good food we wanted to try while we were there!

What were your favorite details?

Too many to mention! We loved that our photographers took the time to take extra detailed pictures with our outfits, rings, and special items we bought while on our trip. That meant a lot to us.

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

Make it what you want. Make sure the day is about you because you only have one chance to capture the day and live in that moment.
