Did you do any DIY Projects or create any handmade items for your wedding?

Yes. We created our welcome sign, save the dates, fruit bowls, arch for our ceremony, and many more!

What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?

We used and borrowed new and used plants in terracotta for decoration. My mother and I D.I.Yed anything we could.

We had a morning ceremony. It was at 11am. We had brunch for the reception. It was the best day ever!

What is the most memorable moment of your day?

My fathers speech was the most memorable moment of the day for me. He winged it. It was perfect.

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

My husband and I both work at our venue. It is owned by my uncle, so it was our gift to use the venue.

What was your biggest splurge?

The Tap Truck was our biggest splurge. But it was a huge hit!

What were your favorite details?

The borrowed and thrifted rugs for our aisle, the arbor my husband built, and of course: our dog being the most popular guest!

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

Don’t stress! I promise that you will have more fun if you just do not stress. On your big day there will be things that go a different way than you planned, but it will work out just fine. Enjoy the moment!
