Did you do any DIY Projects or create any handmade items for your wedding?

Yes, we took on quite a few DIY projects! We handmade decorations and customized glasses for the celebration, which added a personal and meaningful touch. We also made our souvenirs for our guests.

What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?

I participated from beginning to end of each project of my wedding. One of our vendors, Life of the Party, is our friend, so I had the freedom to participate in every detail.

What is the most memorable moment of your day?

The most unforgettable moment was watching my children walk down the aisle carrying our wedding rings.

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

The gifts for our guests was the biggest thing we saved money on!

What was your biggest splurge?

Our biggest splurge ended up being a back up plan for rain. Because the wedding was on the beach, I hadn’t originally had a plan if this happened.

What was your favorite details?

The flowers were lovely and the sunset was amazing.

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

I wish I had given myself more time to plan. I left most of the decisions for the last six months, which made everything more stressful – and more expensive! Planning earlier would have given us more options in the long run.
