Did you do any DIY Projects or create any handmade items for your wedding?
Absolutely! I made my own bridal bouquet and all of the boutonnieres for the fellas.
What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?
My husband and son had personalized cuff links customized for our wedding day, and I wore my lucky white sneakers!
What is the most memorable moment of your day?
Just being present in the moment. We were able to enjoy such a special moment between ourselves and all those that came to celebrate with us.
What was the biggest thing you did to save money?
We decided to keep the ceremony small and intimate instead of having a traditional wedding. Simply Eloped was made just for this! They offered a package deal and offered various add-ons to customize the perfect ceremony.
What was your biggest splurge?
Definitely my wedding dress, but it was worth every dollar!
What was your favorite detail?
In our wedding getup at Brooklyn Bridge Park amongst the crowd was just… magical.
The day was amazingly beautiful. The people were beautiful. The moment was beautiful. It’s as if time was still and we were in a neverending fairytale.
What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?
Enjoy every second of it – because it goes fast!
