Planning a wedding comes with a whirlwind of details, from finding the perfect dress to choosing the most delicious wedding cake. Although we knew this was in store, you truly don’t know how hard it is until you’re on the side of it. But amidst the chaos, one element often holds significant weight: the wedding date. For many couples, it’s more than just a day on the calendar; it’s a symbol of their love story and a foundation for their future together. And for those drawn to the mystical, spirituality of numerology, it can offer a unique lens through which to choose the perfect date, aligning the stars for a harmonious and fulfilling union. It’s like… meant to be!

What is Numerology?

Numerology is an ancient system that assigns meaning and vibrations to numbers that started with the famous Greek philosopher Pythagoras. Each number carries unique energy and characteristics, influencing everything from our personalities to our life paths. By understanding the numerology of your wedding date, you can tap into its potential and choose a date that resonates with your hopes and dreams for your marriage. In a way, you could say it’s also manifesting the ideal future for you and your partner after taking this huge leap of faith into the crazy feelings we call love.

How Does Numerology Work?

To get a root number, all the numbers in a date are added together until they equal one, or 11, 22, or 33, which are master numbers and cannot be divided into a single number. For instance, adding 1+0 (for October being the tenth month) +1+2+0+2+3 would reduce the date of October 1, 2023, to a single digit. This equals 9. The vibrational meaning of the date is then deduced from this last number.

Every number, from 1 to 9, is said to represent a particular quality. Some are said to bring balance, others are said to promote strength and growth, and still others may promote love and unity.

There are even apps or filters now on social media platforms that calculate your angle number using numerology, although I’m not sure about their accuracy in introducing people to the wonders of numerology.

What About My Wedding Date?

When figuring out the numerology of your wedding date, there are a few day numbers to consider. These consist of your marriage number, universal day number, and life path number. A number unique to you and the way you live your life is your life path number.

According to McManamon, you can calculate your life path number by adding the digits from your birthdate. Before adding all the numbers together, always reduce the numbers to a single digit. The reduced numbers of the month, day, and year, for instance, would be added if you were born on September 1, 2001: 9 + 1 + 3 (2+0+0+1=3) = 13, which decreases to 4 (because 1+3=4).

A wedding date can also be determined by looking at the day’s universal day number, or numerology. Your life path number and this number are determined in the same manner. It would be 2 + 20 + 2024 for February 20th, 2024. 20 reduces to 2 because 2+0 is 2, and 2024 reduces to 8 because 2+0+2+4 is 8. Nevertheless, the 2 would remain 2. Given that 2 + 2 + 8 = 12, and that 12 reduces to 3 (because 1 + 2 = 3), February 20th, 2024, would be a 3 universal day.

How To Choose Your Wedding Date with Numerology

There are a few ways you can choose your wedding date; these are a few things to consider and jot stuff down.

Pick Numbers that Convey Love

Think of numbers or days that work alongside the energy of love, expansion, companionship and growth. Your marriage number and life path number can be used to accomplish this. Or examine the numbers for the universal days and months.

The Best Dates Using Numerology

It’s said that the numbers 4 and 6 are well sought out based on these things. Having your wedding on the 4th can represent a strong foundation, solidifying your marriage with confidence. Choosing the 6th aligns with home and strong family units; this energy helps to create a beautiful connection that is both compassionate and loving. It makes sense why the 6th of June seems to be an extremely popular date; even in the films, if anything, they’ve been telling us from the start that the 6th holds the key.

This therefore translates into the month as well, so April and July are very sought out months and hold the same meaning. Therefore, if you had your date planned for 06/06/24 this would come with an abundance of love and compassion.

Dates To Avoid

According to wedding date numerology, the unfriendliest days are 7, 9, and occasionally 5. While 9 represents the energy of endings, the number 7 can be chilly and isolating. Five, meanwhile, is a little erratic.

What Each Number Represents

While it’s nice to stick with the numbers we’ve shared with you, if you are anything like me, you might want a specific date based on what it means to you both as a couple and figure out if that works in your favour through numerology.

Number 1

One is lucky for weddings because they represent a fresh start and the beginning of a new chapter. It embodies the concept of unity, or the joining of two people into one, which is closely related to marriage.

Number 2

The numbers two stand for harmony, balance, and cooperation. Ideal for a day centred around commitment and union.

Number 3

Three prioritise expression, creativity, and communication. Ideal for a bright and colourful party.

Number 4

The number four stands for dedication, a solid base, and conventional values. This energy is advantageous for your wedding day because it supports you in laying a strong foundation right away.

Number 5

Five may suggest that the marriage is a little unstable or unconventional, but it is also all about adventure and excitement (perhaps a destination wedding).

Number 6

Six is linked to responsibility and contentment at home. A loving figure for beginning a family.

Number 7

Seven might stand for a profound spiritual bond. According to McManamon, partners would have to respect one another’s personal space and privacy, and this could be a very solitary energy. Numerology of wedding dates 7 isn’t the best for a relationship or marriage.

Number 8

Eight denotes a prosperous professional and business partnership, which may result in some complex power dynamics and a greater emphasis on work than on marriage and family.

Number 9

Last but not least, nine is a day that represents endings rather than beginnings. Contrary to number one, it is not the ideal energy that you want for your wedding day.

Final Thoughts

Forget just cake tastings and dress fittings, your wedding date can hold hidden meaning too! Numerology, the ancient art of numbers, whispers unique energies for different dates. Unravel your and your partner’s life path numbers, add them for a “marriage number,” and seek dates that resonate—like saying “I do” under a lucky 6 (love) or 8 (abundance) vibe.

Remember, personal significance and logistics matter too! Explore day of the week and moon phase numerology for extra guidance, or consult a numerologist for a truly personalized touch. But most importantly, choose a date that reflects your love story and sets the stage for a lifetime of happiness together.

And who knows, maybe you’ll find the perfect wedding guest dresses for your bridesmaids, venue, THE dress and everything in between that complements the mystical energy of your chosen date—a perfect blend of tradition and cosmic flair!
