DIY Table Numbers + Holders | The Budget Savvy Bride
The Budget Savvy Bride

You’ve said “I do”, so now it’s time to eat, drink, and be merry. Have guests proceed to their tables in a well choreographed dance with the help of these diy table numbers. With just a few basic office supplies and the free template that I created for Budget Savvy Brides, you can create these gorgeous table numbers at home. And as a bonus I’ve included the template for the coordinating holders, which will turn plain old binder clips into a piece of art.

What you’ll need to make this project:

  • Printable templates (download here
  • Microsoft Word (Mac or PC)
  • 8.5 x 11 card stock
  • Scissors
  • 1.25″ binder clips (from your local office supply store)
  • Double sided tape
  • Corner rounder (optional)
  • Paper trimmer (optional)

The fonts used are Respective and Cochin, so if you don’t already have them- you’ll want to download them!

Step #1:

Download the Templates and Add Your Numbers

Get the two templates for this project. Save them to your computer desktop and open in Microsoft Word. Change the table numbers as needed and print each page on 8.5 x 11 card stock.

Step #2:

Trim and Round Corners

User scissors or a paper trimmer to cut the number templates along the trim lines. Round the corners with your scissors or a corner rounder.

Step #3:

Cut Clip Wrappers

Trim the clip wrappers with your scissors or the paper trimmer.

Step #4:

Tape Wrappers to Binder Clips

Tape the binder wrappers to the clips using double sided tape. Tuck the wrapper edges under the clip edge as much as possible to give a seamless finish.

Step #5:

Assemble the Numbers and Remove the Clip Handles

Clip each number into a binder clip. Remove the clip handles by squeezing together the arms from one side and pulling them from their slots.

Hint: As the printing is a neutral gray, you can print the numbers and wrappers on colored card stock to coordinate with your wedding theme.

What a great idea! I’m finding that they only download as a PDF file and can’t find a download for microsoft. I need 14 table numbers and need to be able to change the numbers. Is this available as a microsoft download? Thanks

Hello! These are great and I would love to use them! Are they available as a word download so that I can edit them? I would need templates for 22 tables.

    • Unfortunately they are just PDFs! No need to edit them if they already have the numbers you need :)

I love these–I tried to download them and open them in word so that I could edit (I need 16 tables, not just 12), but it won’t open in word. Is there a way to open it in word?

Hi, my binders keep falling over. How do I get it to stay still and upright?
