helping brides create beautiful weddings without breaking the bank

I’m going to risk the fact that I may be the only bride this is happened to. FH and I sent out save-the-dates over the summer and ended up making a rookie mistake. We are inviting 100 guests (most of which are couples). When ordering our save-the-dates, we ordered 100 from Vistaprint. I sat down and addressed all of them myself only to figure out that…yes, I had ordered too many. Double than what I needed in fact. Thankfully, it wasn’t a huge blow to my budget because of the great deal I got on them. At first, I gave close friends and family extras for their office or home. However, I’ve had more extras sitting around for months now. And finally, it dawned on me…I know exactly what to do with them!

I owe my moment of inspiration to this pin on Pinterest. I love the idea of getting your guests’ advice on the RSVP. I like the fact that they can be used for another purpose. Then I thought: those extra Save the Dates could be displayed at the wedding on the gift table for people to write a little message.

I’ve also found other ideas for reusing your wedding stationery. I’ve also seen people insert them into a clear ornament for the Christmas tree.  Check out this bride’s ideas.

How are you reusing that extra wedding stationery?

It happened to me too. I reused our save the dates as table cards! It worked out wonderfully.
