Where to Buy Paper for Your DIY Wedding Invitations

If you want to DIY your wedding invitations, you’ll want to make sure to get a good quality paper. Depending on your choice of design, you may just want to use basic white cardstock. We recommend a weight of at least 80lb for a sturdy, quality feel. A thicker-weight paper may be more difficult to print on at home using a consumer-grade printer.

Our free wedding invitation templates, save the dates, and thank you cards are all sized for 5×7 size, so you’ll want an A7 Envelope (5 ¼ x 7 ¼ inches). For RSVP cards, if you’d like your guests to mail them back, you’ll also need a 4-bar envelope or RSVP envelope (3 ⅝ x 5 ⅛ inches).
