One of the best ways to make your wedding memorable and personal is by setting a mood via your wedding theme. Planning a cohesive wedding theme involves incorporating accents, colors, fabrics, and details that complement each other and tie your event together. One of the best ways to create a cohesive wedding theme is through the use of complementary paper goods which can help to establish a “brand” of sorts for your big day.

Ways to infuse your wedding theme throughout your day:

Let the paper goods set the tone.

The save the dates and wedding invitations don’t *have* to match, but isn’t it fabulous that they can thanks to Shutterfly complete suite collections?

Incorporate your theme via the decor.

Since this theme is a garden party, you can easily incorporate floral details all across the wedding day decor. Use flowers to decorate the aisles, the tables, etc. If you can’t afford a ton of fresh flowers, consider making some out of fabric or paper.

Pick food & drinks to accent the color palette.

For a garden party theme paired with bright pinks and corals, you can create a colorful signature cocktail or serve tasty watermelon, feta and basil bites as appetizers. Be sure to include a coordinating Menu card so your guests know what you’re serving.

Include thematic details in your attire.

For a floral themed wedding, you could choose a wedding dress with floral details or accents, or choose floral patterned pumps to wear down the aisle. The bridesmaids could wear shades of pink or coral, or even wear floral patterned bridesmaids dresses! Tie the color scheme in through your groom’s tie or handkerchief square.

Keep the Favors and guestbook on theme

Choose advice cards from Shutterfly that match your wedding invitations. These can be a simple and sweet way to collect a “guestbook” of sorts full of memories and advice to look back on after the big day. You can also package your wedding favors with sweet tissue paper flowers to keep the theme going.

After the big day

Don’t forget to keep your theme going by choosing coordinating Thank You cards to send to your guests.

And that, my friends, is how you create a cohesive wedding theme! With Shutterfly, it’s never been easier to create a beautifully custom feel for your wedding day.
