Save money when you shop online
Here at The Budget Savvy Bride, we *love* saving money… but we especially love saving YOU money! Over the last ten years, we’ve shared so many awesome tips and resources for you to utilize in wedding planning and in life, and one of our absolute favorite resources is
Ebates Rakuten! By using Rakuten, you’ll save money by earning cashback when shopping at your favorite online retailers.
In case you don’t already know, Rakuten is the largest Cash Back rebates site. They partner with over 2,500 of the biggest name brands you love like eBay, Groupon, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Sephora, Walmart, and soooo many more!
These sites offer between 1%-26% cashback (usually 10% and under) on purchases you make online through Rakuten. Do you really NEED another reason to sign up? Especially if you’re like us and you do a lot of shopping online anyway… this just seems like a no-brainer.
Simply download the Rakuten Cash Back browser extension to get money back for the online shopping you were already going to do! It’ll even notify you if the items you’re perusing are available elsewhere for less!
Earn Cash Back When You Shop Online with Rakuten
Ebates is now Rakuten
Rakuten partners with some of our absolute favorite wedding brands… everyone you know and love like registry websites such as Macy’s, Target, and Bed Bath & Beyond. They’ve got clothing options like Lulu’s, ModCloth, David’s Bridal, and other choices for bridesmaids, groomsmen, or the happy couple themselves! You can even get cash back when shopping the happy couple’s wedding registry… and they’ll never have to know you essentially paid less! It’ll be our little secret.
Rakuten helps you save money when shopping online through their website and browser extension Cash Back button! The Rakuten Cash Back Button helps you automatically apply coupons and receive cash back on your purchases when you shop online. It’s super easy to install, just visit Rakuten and add it to your web browser. FYI- The Rakuten Cash Back Button extension works with Chrome, Safari and Firefox Edge!
So basically, this little browser extension exists to help you remember to use Rakuten when you’re shopping on your favorite retailer’s websites. So, for example, if you’re shopping on Macys.com, you might notice your Rakuten browser extension turn red with a Box around the logo like below:
This is to alert you that there are Rakuten notifications associated with the website you’re browsing. You may also see a popup in the upper right corner of your browser like this one:
This lets you know that Rakuten will give you 6% of your purchase back as a credit to your Rakuten account! With so many amazing retailers, you’ll be sure to find lots of items for your big day when shopping online, and earning up to 15% cash back on your purchases along the way! Then, you can use your Big Fat Check from Rakuten to put towards your big day expenses, or even to splurge on something fab while on your honeymoon!
Here at The Budget Savvy Bride, we’ve been using Rakuten/Ebates since 2009, and we’ve earned $1000s in cashback! We love how the browser extension reminds us to check for cash back opportunities when we’re browsing our favorite shops. Did we mention, that Rakuten also applies the best coupons for you at checkout? Or that it will notify you if the product you’ve got your eye on is available elsewhere at a better price? Talk about amazing– it’s basically your budget-savvy online shopping BFF! Learn more about why we love Rakuten.
