Did you do any DIY Projects or create any handmade items for your wedding?

All the signage, my florals, and my seating chart. The popcorn machine was painted by my mother.

We did our own invitations. All of the decor was put together from Facebook marketplace and repainted!

What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?

There are so many! My aunts were my “something blue” and we had a lot of family jewelry around.

What is the most memorable moment of your day?

The whole day was perfect, but probably our first look!

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

We got our florals through bloom culture! We saved thousands on it.

What was your biggest splurge?

My husband’s suit was a splurge, which he actually paid for outside of the wedding budget. He felt so confident on our wedding day!

What was your favorite detail?

My aunts were very involved, and having them as my something blue meant the world to me.

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

Hire a day of coordinator! She saved us money and so many headaches. I’m a coordinator myself, and I still paid someone else!
