How many guests did you have?
We had 65 guests.
What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?
I had my grandmothers lace table cloth for the cake table. I had the old new borrowed blue as usual but also had sixpence in my shoe! I love the traditions so I tried to keep as many as possible.
Did you do any DIY projects or create any handmade items for your weddings?
I decided not to do any DIY. And I’m glad I did. It would have been WAY too much to deal with and I wouldn’t have enjoyed that day as much as I did.
What was the biggest thing you did to save money?
One thing I did to save money was foregoing favors… I’d rather spend money on a better band…which I did. And it was awesome!
What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?
Choose simple! Don’t get lost in the tiny details that no one will probably even notice. That’s what gets you stressed out. Choose vendors wisely. They will make or break your day. And try and enjoy yourself! It goes by SO quickly!
What was your biggest splurge?
We just wanted a fun, special day for us and our family and closest friends. We splurged on the band. Totally worth it!
What was your favorite detail?
Our flowers were seeded eucalyptus and greenery and beautiful cream roses with blush tips. So pretty!
I chose a classic wedding cake/almond flavor with a simple design and a few roses and greenery that matched my bouquet cascading down.
What is the most memorable moment of your day?
The whole day was amazing. Truly. From beginning to end, setting up to breaking down. I just enjoyed every moment of it!
