Tucked away at a waterfall where they once had one of their first dates, Aliah + Thomas said “I do” in total secret: just the two of them and their kids. With their outfits sourced entirely from Amazon (including a $60 wedding dress that looked like a dream) and cheers from strangers echoing off the rocks, their day was intimate, joyful, and completely their own.

What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?

We went down to the waterfall where we had one of our very first dates to get married. None of our family knew we were getting married except for our kids who we included in the wedding.

What is the most memorable moment of your day?

When we said I do, all the people that were down at the waterfall started cheering for us. I thought that was so sweet. It was really fun taking pictures.

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

Our venue was free! We saved money in many different ways by eloping. We didnt pay for a big wedding with lots of guests.

We got all of our outfits on Amazon. I loved my dress that I got for only $60!

What was your biggest splurge?

The photographer was definitely our biggest, but 100% worth every penny! Jesse did absolutely amazing! I could not have asked for a better photographer to capture our special day.

What were your favorite details?

I loved how all our outfits went together. I loved the vibe of my dress and felt it went with it very well. I loved the moss in my bouquet.

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

There’s a lot of small things to take care of that you don’t realize, but it all worked out in the end. If I could go back, I wouldn’t sweat the small stuff.
