What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?
We got married at the beautiful Valley of Fire State Park an hour outside of Las Vegas. We had an intimate guest count of 22 – all of our closest family members and friends!
What was the biggest thing you did to save money?
Using Simply Eloped to plan an affordable wedding saved us thousands on photography and flowers. We took a party bus to the ceremony which was our entertainment and provided the alcohol in lieu of a traditional reception.
The dinner after the ceremony was at an amazing Mexican restaurant called Casa Calavera right in the Virgin Hotels we were staying in off the Las Vegas strip.
What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?
My biggest advice would be to shrink down the guest list. Only include the closest family and friends that are able to make it to a destination wedding.
What was your biggest splurge?
The party bus was our biggest splurge! It took us from the hotel to the ceremony and back. However, the bus unfortunately broke down on the way back from the ceremony as it was bringing us to the hotel. We were able to get the entire cost of the bus refunded!
What was your favorite detail?
My favorite detail was my beautiful dress that I purchased for a discount off the rack from La Scala Bridal Shoppe in Tewksbury, MA.
What is the most memorable moment of your day?
Staring into my husband’s eyes was the most memorable moment of the day. We were in the most magical place, surrounded by our favorite people as he read me his heartfelt vows.
