We had 45 guests.
What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?
We had our florist build a grapevine arbor at the top of the backyard steps overlooking the water with my wedding flowers.
Did you do any DIY projects or create any handmade items for your weddings?
Yes, I made a mocha mix that had a printed template sticker that said, “Love is Brewing” and also put together sachets of English Breakfast teas.
What was the biggest thing you did to save money?
Our venue was in a beautiful backyard on the water at our friend’s home.
What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?
Ask for help. I tried to do a lot by myself and people really were willing to help.
What was your biggest splurge?
Our photography was worth every penny. Severine was fabulous!!!!
What was your favorite detail?
I loved the floral table pieces with mercury glass vases.
What is the most memorable moment of your day?
Champagne with my BFF, my husband’s written vows and all the lights after the sun went down. Sparklers to end the night.
