We had 65 guests.
What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?
We did almost everything ourselves from the invites to the flowers and the decor. I loved all the signs we had everywhere we had purchased in all different shops that were just us.
Did you do any DIY projects or create any handmade items for your weddings?
I am a very crafty person and we were on a budget so it worked out great for us. We started by doing DIY invites ordered a template and supplies from Etsy, then we made and personalized invitations. I made our wood ring box, two flower girl baskets, two flower girls sash and headbands, eight wood box centerpieces. We did a lot of DIY it saved us so much money and it was fun. You get to put your own love and personal touches on everything for your special day!
What was the biggest thing you did to save money?
One of the biggest things was doing so much ourselves. We did not have a wedding planner and we didn't use a florist. That saved our budget a ton so we had extra money to honeymoon in Hawaii.
What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?
BREATHE!!! LOL.It is definitely a stressful thing to do especially without a planner try to have fun with it. It is so crazy how fast the day goes and it is done in a blink of an eye. Enjoy yourself and don't miss out on all the hard work you put into this day by worrying about the small stuff it will all be ok.
What was your biggest splurge?
Our venue was our biggest splurge It was at Legends Ranch in Las Vegas we wanted green and that is not the easiest thing to find in the desert. It was so beautiful you did not need to do much decorating as the landscape was perfect. The second was photography. Photography was very important to have that perfect person to capture the day because when it is all over that is what you have to look back on forever.
What was your favorite detail?
The venue and the photography! It was so beautiful and made the day perfect. And regarding photography… to capture the whole day and every last detail of the day to look back on forever is my FAVORITE!! I love to look at the photos they make me so happy. Danette did an absolutely amazing job. She was so fun and had all the photos back to us within a couple weeks.
What is the most memorable moment of your day?
The whole day was amazing. I was so excited to finally marry my best friend after 13 yrs and have all our friends and family all together and see everything come together from all the work we have been putting into this day was just perfect!
