Tell us about your wedding vision.
We wanted to have a starry elopement just the two of us under the moon and stars. The plan was to arrive in a rented vintage Pink Cadillac that we’d drive. Just after leaving Las Vegas, gassing up at the local Loves gas station (how fitting), we got stuck out on the highway! We were all dressed in our wedding attire, so we decided to hitch a ride with a kind stranger who gave us a ride all the way to Valley of Fire.
Arriving about 45 minutes later than planned, with just a short amount of daylight left, the rush was on to get married before it became pitch-black out on the desert floor. Our photographers were amazing and prepared for the dark conditions so we were able to continue our celebration even after sunset!

Describe your attire choices.
I wore a stunning wedding dress of glittering gossamer with celestial undertones and sheer stars woven in an intricate design. It was magical.
In true Heather fashion, my dress was actually a maternity photoshoot robe from Annahandbridal on Etsy, that was a whopping $270! It was very sheer so I purchased the underdress from Amazon for $35. Buying online is always unpredictable but I was so pleasantly pleased with the results!
There were also stars on my purse, in my hair, on the cake, and in the floral arrangement, so this wedding was star-filled, start to finish.

What was your favorite detail?
After getting stranded on the way in a friend came all the way to Valley of Fire to pick us up, almost an hour in the dark after the ceremony ended. It was totally unplanned and definitely a mishap, but ended up being perfect anyway!

What is the most memorable moment of your day?
Not only did the wedding have hiccups, but earlier that day, Heather found out her beloved grandma had passed away that morning. And yet, they persevered, jumping hurdle after hurdle, holding hands the whole time.
