What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?
We purchased memorial items of our parents to be displayed, as well as charms of our parents for the bridal bouquet and the groom’s boutonnière. We put a red rose in front of the memorial items and then white roses on each side where our parents would have sat. Sharonne found her mom’s veil after her mom had passed away and it was in perfect condition. She had the veil sewn into her veil that she had already purchased, therefore having a shoulder-length veil that looked great with her fingertip length veil. Sharonne did all of the invitations and programs. We asked guests to put their pictures on The Guest App.
Did you do any DIY projects or create any handmade items for your weddings?
Sharonne did all of the invitations and programs. The wedding coordinator did all of the floral arrangements after going to Hobby Lobby and Joanne’s and purchasing all of the flowers needed.
What was the biggest thing you did to save money?
We bought invitation and program paper so we could self-print.
What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?
Get a coordinator! You don’t need to deal with the stress of the things that will go wrong!
What was your biggest splurge?
Photography and it was well worth it!
What was your favorite detail?
Adding a secret sparkle layer to my wedding dress to have it sparkling even more as I wanted bling! Then being able to wear my mother’s veil with my veil. Also seeing Ronnie’s face when I came down the aisle to him.
What is the most memorable moment of your day?
Seeing Ronnie’s face when I came down the aisle to him.
