DIY Bridesmaids Proposal Box with Cricut
Learn how to create the perfect bridesmaids’ proposal box using this free custom cut file for the Cricut Explore Air!
Here at The Budget Savvy Bride, our mission is to share inspiring and affordable ways to pull off a wedding you’re proud of. One of my favorite ways to do that is via DIY… and if there’s one thing I love DIYing, it’s gift items!
Of course, you want to show your bridal party your appreciation and gratitude for being involved in your big day, but that doesn’t have to cost you a fortune. Check out this simple DIY to personalize a simple gift box for a bridesmaids proposal using my favorite crafting tool, the Cricut Explore Air!

I’ve made this whole process super easy. All you need is your Cricut Explore Air, gift box, items to put inside, the Cricut Cut File I designed, and the vinyl of your choice (I used the new holographic vinyl, and I am obsessed! #unicornvibes)
The gift boxes I used are similar to these from Paper Mart. You’d need the 8 x 8 x 3 bases and the 8 x 8 x 1.5 lids.

Using Your Cricut for Bridesmaids’ Proposal Boxes
Apply your vinyl to your Cricut cutting mat and load it into your machine. Upload the SVG file to Design Space and send it to your Cricut.
Once your vinyl has been cut, you’ll use some of your Cricut tools to peel up the negative space from your design.
Then, you’ll want to trim the vinyl around your design using scissors.
Then, place some transfer tape over your design, trimming it first to ensure you’re not wasting any.
After you’ve gotten the transfer tape on your design, then you’ll remove the backing from your vinyl, leaving behind your vinyl design.
Place your design on your box, centering it visually. The use a scraper to transfer your vinyl design onto your box! Go slowly, peeling back your transfer tape in pieces to ensure it’s fully applied.
And voila! Now you have a darling, personalized box to pop the question to your besties!
When it comes to what to put inside your bridesmaids’ proposal boxes, you can get as creative as you like! Fill them with cute items to pamper your besties, or give them wedding day essentials! We did two different versions to inspire you.
What to Put in Your DIY Bridesmaids Proposal Boxes
In one box, we put Fancy Feet Foot Petals, some Anti-Bacterial Gel, Julep Nail Polishes, Lotion, and a mini bottle of Le Grand Courtage rosé champagne!
For the other box, we included a sheet mask, shower gel, tissues, Julep Nail Polishes, and a mini bottle of Le Grand Courtage champagne!
These are just examples, feel free to fill them up as much as you like! Your besties are sure to love them!
Hope you enjoyed this project as much as we enjoyed creating it!
If you haven’t yet invested in a Cricut Explore Air for your wedding and craft projects, I highly recommend it!
