Despite all the glitz and glamour of the high-rollers and casinos, Las Vegas weddings can be very affordable, with options to fit any budget. Learn more about Las Vegas wedding costs in this article from a pro.

We all know that weddings can get super expensive. Couples in the US spent an average of $28,000 in 2021. Couples who don’t want a large, expensive marriage ceremony often choose to elope to Las Vegas. Clark County, where Vegas is located, has the most lenient of marriage laws in the US. This helps keep costs very affordable and has led to a booming wedding industry. In fact, an average of 70,000 couples marry in Vegas every year. So it’s not surprising that the number one question I’m asked is “How much does a Las Vegas wedding cost?”

How Much A Las Vegas Wedding Costs

Las Vegas has a reputation for being the home of inexpensive weddings — you can get married for as little as plus a license if you get married at the courthouse. But there are so many different ways to have a ceremony in Vegas, there is no set cost. You can go as simple or as lavish as you’ve dreamed. Regardless of the type of wedding you do or the special touches to make it memorable, you can often get married in Vegas for a fraction of the cost of a traditional wedding at home because of all the options.

Quick Cost Breakdown

So how much does a Vegas wedding cost? I always tell my couples that beyond getting married at the Clark County Courthouse, you have three main options for planning your Vegas ceremony that range in price:

Chapels ($100–$200)

If a drive-thru with Elvis officiating comes to mind when you think of a Vegas wedding, I recommend a chapel. Chapels are the second most affordable way to get married in Vegas. They can be a fun way to elope, but they don’t offer much personalization. Anything you want beyond the package, like flowers or food, would be an additional cost.

Casino Wedding Packages ($3,250–$10,495)

Casino wedding packages offer significantly more options than chapels. I’ve found they offer everything from photographers to bouquets and boutonnières to a full reception. These packages are a helpful option if you want a beautiful ceremony without all the planning. They offer a large selection but, again, they don’t offer much personalization.

Vegas Wedding Planning Company Packages ($1,500 and up)

Wedding planning companies like mine, Cactus Collective Weddings offer a more customizable experience. With my team, you can spend as little or as much as you want depending on the specifics of your wedding. The best part about working with a wedding planning company like mine is that there’s more options available. You can get married indoors or outdoors, with a group or just the two of you, and have special touches that make it a memorable experience. One last thing I’d like to note is that with a wedding planning company, you can also get married at a casino or a chapel.

Hands down, I think the best thing about getting married in Vegas is all the options for venues. I recommend starting by checking out chapels and casino terraces. Vegas has beautiful year-round weather, so I also recommend looking at outdoor venues like mountain landscapes and unique places like Eldorado Canyon. If you’re interested in something edgier, downtown Las Vegas alleys and the Neon Museum are some of my favorite venues. You can get married just about anywhere in Las Vegas.

Estimating The Cost Of Your Vegas Wedding

Estimating the total expenses of your wedding starts by determining what you want at your wedding. Many options can impact the overall price of your wedding, including:

  • Floral arrangements
  • Officiant
  • Attire and hair/makeup
  • Photographer/videographer
  • Food/cake
  • Invitations
  • Guest count
  • Season, day, and time of the ceremony
  • Reception/rehearsal dinner
  • Transportation

Here is a helpful pricing guide I put together with my team to help our couples understand and estimate their wedding costs. Vegas has a lot of options for weddings.

Quick Cost-Saving Tips For Your Vegas Wedding

There are some elements of the wedding that are absolutely worth the splurge. You definitely want to hire a good photographer or videographer to capture the moment so it can last forever. There are other ways to reduce the cost, including choosing to marry on a weekday versus a weekend, using digital invitations, and planning an affordable menu. The best part about marrying in Vegas is you can have your wedding and honeymoon all in one, saving even more money. All of these things can save you thousands without compromising the ultimate vision you have for your wedding.

If you don’t want to go through the trouble of planning your own wedding, have you ever heard of a pop-up wedding? We’ve had an increase in wedding requests over the last few years that we’ve created pop up weddings. The theme, location, florals, photographer, and officiant are all provided for you. The only thing you are responsible for is showing up.

So when couples ask me, “How much does a Las Vegas wedding cost?” I always answer that Las Vegas weddings will always fit your budget. There are so many money-saving advantages to getting married in Vegas that no matter your budget, you can afford your dream wedding. Ready to get married in Vegas?
