What creative or personal aspects did you use in your wedding?

My husband and I decided to include our dog, Sadie, in our ceremony as our witness.

We even had a bandana for her that said, “Mommy and Daddy Got Married”, and she signed with her paw as our witness on our marriage certificate. It was truly a special moment.

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

We decided to get eloped! With a baby on the way, and plans to buy a house, we really wanted to make sure we didn’t break the bank or have to go into any major debt in order to have a truly special day.

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

Don’t forget to bring the lint roller!

What was your biggest splurge?

Definitely the elopement package, which cost about $2,200 in total. The package included securing Lost Gulch Overlook with a State Permit, obtaining our photographer and officiant, and our beautiful flowers from a local florist in Denver, CO.

What was your favorite detail?

Our officiant was incredible and really paid attention to our wants and needs during the ceremony. He really created a special moment unique to just the two of us.

What is the most memorable moment of your day?

Having our fur baby sign our marriage certificate. That was truly special.
