What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?
We only included our three children as our wedding party. We hand wrote our vows, and had my brother in law be our officiant.
What is the most memorable moment of your day?
The chipmunks! They are everywhere at Sapphire Point Overlook.
What was the biggest thing you did to save money?
The biggest thing we did to save money was not having a reception.
What was your biggest splurge?
My dress! I was determined not to spend too much money on my dress. My husband, however, refused to let me settle on anything other than my dream dress!
What was your favorite detail?
The simplicity of the whole evening. I wanted a sweet, intimate ceremony, and that’s exactly what we had.
What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?
Just make it a vacation. We took a long weekend and spent it with our kids, close family and friends.
