Brooke + Christian's wedding leaned into what felt right for them: handmade touches, meaningful moments, and a tight-knit circle of people who showed up with food, hugs, and helping hands. Aspen branches from the backyard dressed the tables, a flower crown topped the bride’s head, and the aisle moment with her dad? Unforgettable. It was simple, stunning, and soul-filled — in the best way.

What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?

Aspen branches from our backyard adorned the tables, cozy rugs were laid on the ground, and I wore a flower crown — which I absolutely loved!

What is the most memorable moment of your day?

My most cherished moment was the incredible feeling of seeing my dad just before walking down the aisle. That moment was filled with so much love, support, and emotion—it truly grounded me amidst all the excitement and nerves.

At the same time, knowing my groom was waiting for me at the altar made it even more profound. The anticipation of joining our lives together, combined with the presence of my dad who has always been there for me, made that walk down the aisle the most unforgettable and meaningful part of the entire day.

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

The biggest thing that helped us save money was asking everyone to bring a dish. Not only did it significantly cut down on catering costs, but it also created this incredible sense of togetherness! Everyone contributed something meaningful, and the food felt all the more special because of it.

We decided not to serve alcohol, which made a huge difference to the overall budget without taking away from the celebration in any way.

What was your biggest splurge?

I don’t feel like we splurged much overall, but we definitely treated ourselves when it came to our honeymoon. We went to Italy—a trip that was truly unforgettable and well worth every moment and expense. It was the perfect way to celebrate and unwind after everything.

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

I was incredibly fortunate to have so much help with the setup. With only one day at the venue, trying to do everything myself would have been overwhelming. Thanks to the amazing support from friends and family, everything came together so much more smoothly than I could have imagined.
