What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?
We wanted the wedding to not be very traditional in style but to have a classic romantic theme that complimented the history and beauty of NYC Central Park, specifically Bethesda Terrace.
What is the most memorable moment of your day?
The ceremony itself was very relaxed and we felt present. Having a smaller crowd allowed us to enjoy every moment.
Having a wedding in a different location from where you reside is a great option so you can feel like a guest at your own event and not feel an obligation to be a host.
What was the biggest thing you did to save money?
The location and choosing Simply Eloped to package everything together. The time we saved using a turn-key service was priceless!
What was your biggest splurge?
We chose to stay at The Ritz Carlton on Central Park for many reasons but also in the event the weather was poor. This was well worth it and they were very accomodating with all the vendors.
What were your favorite details?
The photographer from Simply Eloped was probably the best part of it all. She talked with us before, got to know our story and she blended in as one of the guests. Her ability to capture true emotions and the amazing setting were beyond our expectations.
What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?
Using Simply Eloped was extremely helpful, especially for an out-of-state wedding. Having the vendors pre-selected and a checklist with a dashboard kept me organized from planning to the wedding day in less than 2 months. I also would take advantage of the options available for free locations that offer such a beautiful setting.
