Did you do any DIY Projects or create any handmade items for your wedding?

Yes, I did all of our invitations!

What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?

We did a lot. We did all of the OneWheel details. We made the name neon sign, the name drink stirrers, and the individual name plates.

We had a custom choreographed first dance!

What is the most memorable moment of your day?

A favorite moment was the first dance. We took 10 dance classes ($100 each). It was awesome to have it come to fruition. We also wrote to the OneWheel creators and invited them to come to our wedding – and they did!

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

I worked a lot of overtime during Covid to save money. We also had a budget that we stuck to.

What was your biggest splurge?

Our live painter was our biggest splurge and we absolutely loved it.

What was your favorite detail?

Our favorite detail for us was the OneWheel cake topper!

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

The best advice we have for planning a wedding is to hire a wedding planner. Seriously!
