Yesterday, I wore these all day. All 3 of them. When I got home E laughed at me and then told me that wasn’t allowed.
Then I asked him if he wanted to elope. He laughed in my face again. I explained to him that I’m just really ready to be his wife and I just wanted to see what it felt like.
I know that the rings aren’t what make me married to him. My heart is already there, our lives are already there. The only thing missing is the legal and religious ceremony to make it real.
I’m just ready.
7 months from tomorrow, I will marry my best friend.
*PS- I wore the rings because I was taking them to get cleaned and inspected like E asked me to! I just didn’t want to carry them around in a box in my purse- I figured they were safer on my finger.
Aren’t these lightweight casual dresses so dreamy? They’re all very reasonably priced- could be worn again, and look über comfy. All by Calvin Klein- dontcha just love ”em?
These are a tad more on the classic side, with some nice details like beading or interesting shapes. Super chic, no? And also all relatively on the less expensive side!
These dresses are so romantic and lovely to me- they just transport me to another place and time. Aren”t they just so elegant?
Any of these dresses would make a stunning wedding gown that could easily be worn again (what do you mean you weren”t invited to Diddy”s ”White Party?”) haha. But seriously- I just don”t see the point in spending so much money on a dress you”ll never wear again, and I just feel like a cupcake every time I try one on. These are all so lovely and comfortable looking. Have any of you used a non-traditional dress as your wedding gown?
Stupid Tennessee doesn”t have any Nordstom stores…. Atlanta here I come!!
I don”t know what it is about American Gothic that I love so much… perhaps it”s that we studied it in-depth in my American Art History class (which was, by far, my favorite non-creative class I took in college, BTdub.) It really is an iconic work of art- I hope to see it in person some day! Something I really love is when photographers use their brides and grooms to do their own adaptations- they make for some really interesting images!
Here’s my answers that I forgot to post last night… not so much forgot but fell asleep from exhaustion before I got the chance…
4 Things I Did Today
1. Went to Boot Camp and looked idiotic trying to jump rope with an injured foot.
2. Went to work and… worked.
3. Went to Walgreen’s to buy an ace bandage for injured foot.
4. Did laundry with E whilst watching Gossip Girl.
4 Things On My To Do List
1. Find and finalize wardrobe for e-pics: including hair and make-up for moi. J
2. Get a pedicure with AK (my pedi buddy- we always go together and it’s practically the only time we get to see each other)- much needed!
3. Get my ring cleaned and inspected for warranty/insurance purposes.
4. Send some thank you notes for various things I need to thank some folks for!
4 Of My Guiltiest Pleasures (New ones since my Q&A)
1. The Suite Life of Zack and Cody on Disney Channel. Don’t laugh.
2. Hawaiian pizza (ham and pineapple) with RANCH DRESSING. Yummers.
3. Young adult literature- Harry Potter, Twilight, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, etc. Don’t judge me- I just like easy reading, okay?
4. FACEBOOK. I love it. Yes, I am aware that I sound like a loser.
4 Random Facts About Me:
1. I am a wannabe photographer. I hardly ever leave home without a camera, whether it be my point-and-shoot or my digital rebel XTi. I LOVE taking photos and hope to learn more by experimentation. I also really love playing with photoshop… funsies!
2. I LOVE watching infomercials. And yes, I occasionally buy things. I started using Bare Minerals because of the infomercial… I did Winsor Pilates for a while… yeah… infomercial junkie here…
3. I have been known to organize my closet by color… it’s one of the things i’m a tad OCD about at times…
4. I’ve got a really good credit score. Doesn’t get more random than that…
And now, it’s time for me to TAG some folks! and I TAG…
Yay our internet is back up and running, miraculously!! It just randomly started working again over the weekend. Our wireless network is secure so i don’t think anyone could have been using it so I really have no idea what was going on last week… story of my life.
So E and I have booked our e-session with the wonderful Chris Scott- we are shooting our engagement photos on Oct. 19, so that gives me 3 weeks to figure out what we’re gonna wear! I want to wear something dressy for some pics and maybe more causal for others…
I couldn’t find a photo of the dress online and I don’t have one of me in it, maybe I’ll do that later… but it looks similar to these, it’s a white eyelet wrap dress with cute little capped sleeves and it’s by Sangria. I bought it over a year ago and I haven’t had alot of opportunities to wear it. I know it’s after labor day and it’s fall but I feel like I might like to wear white in our e-pics… thoughts? Is this a no-no? I was thinking I could punch it up with some brightly colored shoes and accessories…
I’d also like to wear something with a good amount of color-J.Crew has a TON of amazing dresses on sale online right now. Each of these are under $100. Cute, no? Maybe the strapless ones with a little sweater… the others have cute details on their own…
I really love the idea of wearing dresses, even though I’m a t-shirt and jeans kind of girl for the most part. I do enjoy wearing dresses and I feel like I will feel better about myself if i’m showin’ some leg… y’know what I’m sayin’?! Especially since by the time we take our e-pics I will have finished my first month of boot camp- I should have some sweet legs and arms to show off! All of my regular clothes just make me feel frumpy right now, and I DON’T like frumpiness.
I’m excited to pick out some stuff for E to wear as well… more on that at a later time… How did you decide what to wear for your e-pics?
