Taylor's DIY Card Box | The Budget Savvy Bride
The Budget Savvy Bride

I love how creative brides (and grooms) get when it comes to the box they use for cards at the wedding. I’ve seen bird cages, fabric wrapped boxes and a lot of other ideas but one of the best I’ve seen is a mailbox!

I figure it not only makes sense to put cards and letters in a mailbox, but if made correctly, it can also be used as our actual mailbox in the future.

I cut the letters out on my Cricut (but you could just as easily use pre-cut letters) and gave them two good coats on Mod Podge to protect it from the elements.

Bonus: I used our wedding colors!!

(Can I just say how awesome/exciting/crazy it is to know this will be my last name soon?! Yay!)

This is a PERFECT idea! I was looking for something unique and this is it! Thanks!

  1. I would have never thought of this! My best friend is getting married soon, I'll have to pass this idea over to her!

Aw I love your mailbox! We're actually doing the same thing – I'm glad I got to see how awesome yours turned out!

  2. That's definitely awesome! :) Dual purpose, very useful during the wedding and useful as well when it becomes your mailboox. So cool! :D

  3. Thank you so much for the kind comments! I'm glad I could inspire some of you… because goodness knows I have gathered my fair share of inspiration from other brides!
