What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?

We had a memory table for my grandparents that had passed away. Our candles were made from Sean’s friend John Mark Candle who has spina bifida and makes them as a living. We chose our favorite candle scent Holiday Cheer.

Did you do any DIY projects or create any handmade items for your weddings?

We did our own popcorn bar.

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

My parents were really good with saving lots of money so I was able to have a great wedding. We also used a lot of decorations from Hobby Lobby that helped us a lot!

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

Always ask others for advice but not too much. Also, it’s better to get reviews from other people who have used the vendor so you know exactly how they will be. And if it rains on your wedding day, it will all be ok. Our wedding day was nothing but rain the whole time. It was ok because, in the end, it made our day special and something we will never forget.

What was your biggest splurge?

Our venue, wedding planner and florist!

What was your favorite detail?

I really liked the popcorn bar and memory table.

What is the most memorable moment of your day?

Walking down the staircase and seeing Sean at the end waiting for me and then saying our vows was the best part of the day.
