Did you do any DIY projects or create any handmade items for your wedding?

My mom tailored the dress for me.

What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?

I wanted to get married in winter and loved the look of my bouquet to give it some old-world whimsical vibes. I loved my wedding! My husband only wanted the car, and he got it. We loved doing our wedding the exact way we wanted to.

What is the most memorable moment of your day?

The ceremony! It was a longer walk than it looked to get to my husband.

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

Elope! Even though we had a fancier elopement, it saved us a lot of money by not having a huge guest list or a reception so we could splurge on what was important to us.

What was your biggest splurge?

Photography. But it was worth every penny I look at my photos all the time and loved our wedding.

What was your favorite details?

My bouquet!

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

Do it the way you want!
