Our budget was $5,000. We spent $3,000 on our package with Mad Dash Weddings for the wedding and reception. The package included:
- 2-hours of private venue use
- Ceremony + reception coordination
- Styled ceremony + reception space
- Professional celebrant
- Experienced wedding photographer + digital files
- Bouquet + boutonniere
- Sprinkle of floral décor
- Small cutting cake, plus one slice per person
- Catered nibbles
- Champagne for the newlyweds
- Complimentary non alcoholic beverages
- Ceremony + reception music
The remainder was spent on attire and other expenses.

A picture of Tristan’s mother at the alter with us.
Did you do any DIY projects or create any handmade items for your weddings?
No… we left the details to MadDash weddings!
What was the biggest thing you did to save money?
We decided to keep the wedding small.
What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?
Do what you and your soon-to-be spouse want to do. Don’t let others dictate how your wedding day should look. Don’t worry about what others think. Do what makes you all happy!

We did not splurge on anything!

My bridal bouquet!
What is the most memorable moment of your day?
The first look. It was a very intimate and exciting moment before the wedding.
