helping brides create beautiful weddings without breaking the bank

Today's wedding is filled with so much southern charm! The outdoor venue, classic color combination and beautiful decor come together perfectly at Cori and Nick's wedding. I especially love the ambiance the night lights bring to the reception! And that lush pink floral arrangement hanging off the outdoor balcony at the ceremony venue?! So perfect. Enjoy this gorgeous southern wedding. xoxo, Jessica

Our wedding budget was $13,500.

Venue- $2500

Food/Drinks- $3000

Flowers- $600

Band- $800

Dress- $1400

Photographer- $1800

Videographer- $3000

How many guests did you have?

150

What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?

Our oil lamps and the bride’s deceased grandfather’s wedding band in bouquet.

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

Friends and family planned the wedding.  We used baby’s breath for the bulk of the flowers and did oil lamps for the centerpieces, which saved a lot of money.

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

Try to remember that you are just as married no matter how the day goes.  It rained on my wedding day which was stressful, but it all worked out in the end.  No wedding day will be perfect, but as long as you are married at the end of the day to the right person, that is all that matters.

What was your biggest splurge?

Videographer- We hired a videographer because when planning and asking others who were already married what they loved most, they would say their video.  To the ones who did not have a video, they would tell me not having it was their biggest regret because the day becomes a blur.  We really love our video and it takes us back every time we watch it, and it will be something we can show our children someday.

What was your favorite detail?

I loved the baby’s breath in mason jars on Shepard’s hooks lining the isles.  I also loved the lights and crystals hanging from the trees.

What is the most memorable moment of your day?

Seeing Nick for the first time was the most memorable time for me.
