Hot Pink and Black Color Scheme

I've got a fun wedding to share with you today! Savannah and Matthew got engaged in Paris, so they really played up the french baroque style for their wedding day! With the hot pink and black color scheme and even a HUGE replica of the Eiffel tower at their reception, c'est magnifique! It's nice to see that you can make a church reception hall completely transform with the help of a little DIY and decor! 🙂 Hope you enjoy this fun and spirited wedding as much as I do! 🙂 xoxo – Jess

How many guests did you have?

– 160 guests.

What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?

So many! We both wrote personal vows. The God’s Knot was a personal part of our ceremony. In memory charms of deceased grandparents were included on Bride’s bouquet and Groom’s boutonniere. We married on the same date of Matthew’s grandparents. Bride also included charms on each bridesmaid’s bouquet with a picture of Bride & each bridesmaid. Custom designed cake topper of bride & groom. I designed all wedding invitations, RSVPs, & wedding slideshows. We both wore Converse (Chuck Taylors). 17ft Eiffel Tower which guests walked under when entering reception because we got engaged in Paris, France. Matthew’s mother made all bridesmaid dresses, black table runners for reception, among other things. We were involved with every single decorative aspect of the wedding & reception.

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

Obviously we did A LOT of do it yourself decorations and details.

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

Save more money for last minute expenses. DIY makes your wedding that much more memorable and brings couple closer together. Also remember your wedding day is all about the bride and groom.

What was your biggest splurge?

– Photography, but very much worth it! Joshua McCoy did an amazing job capturing each precious moment. The photo booth was a hit with all the guests.

What was your favorite detail?

– Bride: EVERYTHING! But if I had to choose one, it would be the Cake & cake topper. Groom: Boutonniere charm of my grandfather.

What is the most memorable moment of your day?

– Hearing Matthew's and giving him my personal wedding vows.
