My uncle Ricky (www.RickyRoche.com) played acoustic guitar during our ceremony and did some sets during our reception. He's a cover artist- he can do anyone- I swear. Our guests were shocked by his rendition of the Sheryl Crow/ Kid Rock duet 'Picture,' and yes, ladies and gents, he does BOTH voices. Amazing! Haha. Between his sets we played music over the PA (borrowed from one of E's groomsmen) from my laptop. Genius, and so very budget savvy. ;) Anyone in the NYC/Long Island Area, that’s where Ricky lives and he plays in many different local bars and also does weddings and parties, too. He can seriously cover anything! I mean, he played my wedding- I think that’s a high recommendation!! :)

TOTAL for post: $395

  1. I’m so jealous by how cheap your marriage license is. We have to pay almost $100 for ours!

  2. Always very interesting to compare…

    Our legal/officiant fee was $450!

  3. I’m planning on trying to get Amy to do my makeup- I hope she’s available!

Did you have someone in charge of playing music from your laptop? I would love to be able to save money and do that, but I would be nervous not having a DJ to keep tabs on it.

  4. Your Uncle’s rendition of “single ladies” by Beyonce was far and beyond the best thing EVER. I still smile when I think about it. :D
